Playwright Spencer Schunk and performer Elyssia Sasaki are two parts of the Raw Matter Project - invaluable co-conspirators and theatrical creators in Toronto. They have a piece in the works premiering May 5th-9th 2015, and you can read about Idle Lessons here.

Spencer Schunk

Spencer Schunk is a playwright, performer, and theatre deviser. He recently earned his Master of Arts degree from the University of Toronto and is also an alumni of York University’s Devised Theatre program. He is a member of the Raw Matter Project collective. He is a writer of prose as well and is currently working on a science fiction novella. This is his first audio play.


Rose Tuong

Rose was born in Toronto, Canada. She received a B.F.A. in Acting from York University in 2013. She has performed on stages in Toronto and Montreal and has appeared in a variety of film, TV, and commercial productions. A passionate actor, collaborator, and public speaker, she possesses a great personal enthusiasm for inspiring emotion and intellect.


Elyssia Sasaki

Elyssia Sasaki is a graduate of York University's Devised Theatre program, with a special focus in design-based practices. Recent performance credits include Murmers (House of Rebels, 2015), Strung (Tanja Beer, WSD 2013) and outLET (York University, 2013). Other credits include sound design and tour management (Theatre Parallax Toronto, WSD 2013) and co-artistic director for the 21st annual playGround Festival (York University, 2013). She has participated in the development and application of installations in Toronto's Nuit Blanche, World Stage Design Festival in Cardiff, Wales, and the 2011 Prague Quadrennial.
