Beat Drop

Five strangers get on a bus, but only four testimonials are heard, in a radio play that challenges the way we interact on public transit. Beat Drop explores the personal bubble that is put up during commutes, and what can happen when it bursts.

Beat Drop was written by Luke Reece, directed by Ethan Resendes, performed by (in order of appearance) Andrew Markowiak, Leighton Williams, Rachel Kennedy and Aidan Gutman, with sound editing by Ross Hammond.

Luke is a 21 year old Theatre Major and Creative Writing Minor at York University. He is a playwright, director, performer, and the Artistic Director of Little Black Afro Theatre Company. He loves engaging with other emerging Canadian artists, and is always seeking new collaborative work.

Ethan Resendes is a Toronto based multi-disciplinary theatre and filmmaker.
